I love the thought of being able to play the guitar. I've seen so many talented guitarists in my life, and I would love to be like them one day. When I was four, my mom got me my very first guitar, and I loved it. I still have it 13 years later. One of the strings is broken, but I still have it. Haha. Last Christmas my mom got me my first electric guitar, a black one with a skull and crossbones design on it. She also got me this "Teach Yourself To Play Guitar" book, and at first I seemed to be doing ok at teaching myself. Then I hurt my fingers in the process of trying to learn and stopped playing. Now, 8 months later, I'm trying again. I totally forgot everything I had learned, so now I have to start all over :(
When I got my first guitar, I would watch videos of Elvis Presley and try to copy what he was doing with the guitar. I managed to learn how to play a little bit of one of his songs, but I don't remember which one. After that, my mom and I went around telling everyone that Elvis taught me how to play the guitar! Well, in a way he did. But other than that I never really learned how to play. I would just make up my own songs and play them for my stuffed animals. They were such a wonderful audience, they always asked for an encore, haha ;) One year for my Grandma's birthday, I was going to play "Happy Birthday" for her, but I chickened out at the last minute.
I was never much of a performer when I was little. I hated the thought of having anybody watch me do anything! I just wanted to play with my friends. When I was 11, that's when the performer started to show up in me. I started dancing at church, and it's been on ever since! I can't really sing on my own, but my voice mixes well with others. So I figured since I can't sing, and I only dance once a week, I'd try to play the guitar to keep myself occupied. I don't think I have that natural instrument-playing talent, but I'm pretty sure if I set my mind to it that I can learn how to play. Or at least I hope I can. I just love the thought of being able to get up and just rock out as much as possible! It looks like so much fun. If the whole dancing thing doesn't work out the way I want it to, I would love to be a good enough guitarist that I could play for/in a band and tour all over the world!
I tried to teach myself how to play the piano, and that certainly didn't work out. I'm really hoping that's not how it's gonna be with the guitar. I know Kevin Jonas taught himself how to play when he was 13. He seemed to be really great at it, I wish I could do it. But see, he grew up in a musical household. No one in my immediate family is really into music stuff like that, they just like to listen to music like anybody else. So it's a little bit harder for me to teach myself because my family doesn't really know anything about that side of music. But, I have always liked a good challenge...

McDonald's
I love McDonald's. They have the best french fries ever! And their McFlurries are sooooooooooo yummy. I remember when I was little, whenever my mom and I went to McDonald's, I would always get the cheeseburger happy meal with a Dr. Pepper. And I would try my hardest to collect all the toys that they would have in their latest happy meal toy series. I usually never got them all, but I did get a lot of them. I knew that they didn't have the healthiest food ever, but my mom made sure I ate plenty of fruits and veggies at home, so McDonald's was like a little splurge on the healthy diet. It's a fast food restaurant, so it's expected that they won't have the healthiest food. Here lately, these big shot people are saying that McDonald's needs to stop giving out toys in the happy meals because they are luring kids to eat the unhealthy food. I'm like "What the freak?!" First of all, it's a fast food restaurant!! Of course they don't have the healthiest food! And second, how the heck is having a toy gonna lure the kids to eat the unhealthy food? Yes, I know kids love toys, but toy or no toy, the kids are gonna want to eat it, one, because it's really good, and two, because it's unhealthy and they know their parents want them to eat healthy so they do the exact opposite of what their parents want them to do! Geez, some people are so freakin weird. They shouldn't take the toy out of the happy meal. Ultimately, it's up to the parents when it comes to what the kids eat. If they eat something unhealthy, it's because the parents let them. The kids are kids, they don't get to make the final decision. If the parents don't want them to eat something unhealthy, they won't let them. So I think taking the toys out of the happy meals isn't gonna solve the child obesity problem. What will solve it is McDonald's getting some healthier food!
It really just bugs me that people are so... I don't know, stupid about some things. I mean, come on. If y'all are saying that by having the toys in the unhealthy meals it's gonna lure the kids to eat the unhealthy meals, y'all should be able to hear in those statements the real problem: the food being unhealthy in the first freakin place! They put these fresh apple slices in as one of the side choices, and some milk as a drink option, like that's really gonna solve the child obesity problem. Yeah, ok, sure that'll really work, WHEN PIGS FLY! What they really need to do is get off their lazy butts and figure out some healthier meals for the kids, not some silly little side choices that most kids won't go with! Their burgers are so greasy it's disgusting. And their french fries, it seems like they dumped the whole bottle of salt on them! Though, I really do enjoy eating their french fries :) Sometimes I just really cannot even begin to understand why some people think the way that they do...

I remember when Twitter started. I thought it was the dumbest thing ever! I absolutely hated it. I kept hearing about people saying how much they loved Twitter and how Ashton Kutcher was addicted to Twitter, and it drove me crazy. I was so sick of hearing about how awesome it was. I didn't really understand what was so great about it, all it was was a website where you could share your thoughts in a short message. I thought, ok we already have plenty of those websites, so I'll stick to Facebook. It seemed like everytime I turned on the tv there was somebody talking about Twitter! Everytime I would see something on tv about it, I would be like "Oh, I'm never getting a Twitter, ever! It's so stupid, I hate it and I'll never get one!"
A little while after I said that, I ended up getting a Twitter :) But, the only reason I got it was because of the one, the only, Mr. David Archuleta :))) I heard that he had a Twitter, and I just had to have one! It was instantly the coolest thing ever, just because David had one. And I am so glad I got one too. I'm literally addicted to it now! I get some people's tweets sent to my phone (David is one of them, of course), I'm constantly on the web browser on my phone playing on Twitter, I just can't get enough of it. It's also a great way to promote this very blog, that's where I get most of my views from. My Twitter pals are great, one in particular always retweets my tweets about my blog. And I also post about my blog on Facebook, and I get lots of hits from it as well.
Even my mom is addicted to Twitter! I got her hooked on it now too, haha. I don't know how I managed to get her on it, she's usually not into this type of stuff. She used to only do MySpace. It's really funny when she's on the computer, because I know she's always on Twitter, and I'm sitting on the other end of the couch on Twitter on my phone! We can sometimes be very entertaining when we're both on Twitter at the same time :)
I feel a little bad though, because now I'm neglecting my Facebook. I'm hardly ever on it, it's always Twitter Twitter Twitter. I was the same way when I started my Facebook, I was neglecting my MySpace. Now that I have discovered the epic awesomeness of Twitter, I don't even go on MySpace at all!
It really is just amazing how the times change, and the fads change. Just 10 years ago the coolest singer on the block was Aaron Carter, and now we hardly ever hear about him anymore :( 10 years ago, I didn't know what a computer was, and now you can't get me off the computer! 10 years ago, Twitter hadn't even been thought of, now it's a part of everyday life. 10 years ago, I was ridiculously, painfully shy, and now I'm like "BAM! IN YO FACE!" Hahaha. 10 years ago we hadn't heard of David Archuleta, and now that's all we're hearing about! Well, I don't know about y'all, but that's all I'm hearing about :)
Seeing how everything's changed so much in just the last 10 years, I wonder what it'll be like in 10 more years...

Tokio Hotel
Today's post will be about a band that I really love called Tokio Hotel. You may not have heard of them, or maybe you have. If you haven't, I will now fill you in on their history.
They are a German rock band, sometimes referred to as a German emo rock band. The band was formed in 2001 by identical twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz, but with a different name. They started out as "Devilish", but later changed their name to Tokio Hotel: "Tokio", the German spelling of the Japanese city Tokyo due to a love of the city, and "Hotel" due to their constant touring and living in hotels. The members of the band are: Bill Kaulitz (LEAD SINGER), Tom Kaulitz (GUITARIST), Georg Listing (BASS PLAYER), and Gustav Schafer (DRUMMER).
The four met in 2001 after a live show in a Magdeburg club, where Listing and Schäfer, who knew each other from music school, watched from the audience while Bill and Tom Kaulitz played on the stage. Once they formed their band "Devilish", they began playing in talent shows and small concerts. Then, in 2003, Bill competed in the children's Star Search at the age of 13, but he lost in the quarter final. But, it was because of Star Search that he was discover by Peter Hoffman. That is when they changed their name to "Tokio Hotel". Soon after, SONY BMG took them under contract, then Hoffman hired David Jost and Pat Benzner into the team of creators and authors, and he had them give the teens some instructions on songwriting and instrument playing. In fact, most of the songs from their first album, "Shrei" ("Scream" in German) were written by Hoffman, Jost, and Benzner. Only the single "Unendlichkeit" was written soley by Tokio Hotel themselves. However, shortly before their first album was to be released, SONY terminated their contract. In 2005, UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP signed Tokio Hotel and developed a marketing plan. The band has now become one of the biggest music acts from Germany.
The first single from "Shrei" was "Durch Den Monsun" (Through The Monsoon), and it quickly rose to the top of the charts. appearing on the German official Media Control single chart at #15 on August 20th 2005, and eventually reaching #1 on August 26th 2005; it also reached #1 on the Austrian singles chart. Their second single, "Shrei" climbed its way to the #5 position on the German music charts. These two songs were written by Bill Kaulitz, along with the group of producers Peter Hoffman, David Jost, Pat Benzner and Dave Roth. Their debut album, "Shrei" was released on September 19th, 2005, which the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry – Germany later awarded a platinum certification for selling over 200,000 copies. Tokio Hotel was quickly becoming a well known (and well loved) band. In 2006, they released a third and fourth single, "Rette Mich" (Rescue Me) and "Der Letzte Tag" (The Final Day), which both climbed their way to the other side of down, reaching the #1 spot. Tokio Hotel had girls in hysterics with their awesome music, and good looks. Though the lead singer, Bill, is very androgynous, most fan-girls find him to be very hot and irresistible. I myself am included in that list :) Bill is very rarely caught without his make-up on, but when he is, that is when I find him to be the hottest.
Their second album, "Zimmer 483" (Room 483) was released in Germany on February 23rd, 2007, along with a deluxe edition of the album which included a DVD. The band said it was called Zimmer 483 because they were staying in a hotel in room 483, and they really liked that hotel, so they decided that that should be the title of the album. The first single off the album was titled "Ubers Ende Der Welt" (which was later released in english as "Ready Set Go") was released on January 26th, 2007, and, as you would expect, it quickly reached #1 in Germany and Austria, and #2 in France. The album's second single "Spring Nicht" ("Don't Jump") was released on April 7th. The tour accompanying the release of the album, The Zimmer 483 Tour, was scheduled to start in March 2007, but was delayed by two weeks because the band members wished to have a different stage design. A third single was released on November 16th, 2005 titled "An Deiner Seite (Ich Bin Da)" ("By Your Side"), and I have to say, that is a very great song. I really enjoy listening to it. On April 28th, 2008 Tokio Hotel released their single "Heilig" ("Sacred" or "Holy") but no music video for the single was released, because of the tight schedule they had. I don't much care for Heilig, it always makes me wanna cry when I hear it. Even though I couldn't understand a word they were singing when I first heard their German albums, I still enjoyed the heck out of them!
After having done two German albums, the band decided to release their third album in English. Their first English-language album titled "Scream" was released on June 4th, 2007 throughout Europe. In Germany, the album was released as Room 483 in order to emphasize the continuity with their last German album "Zimmer 483". "Scream" contains English versions of a selection of songs from their German-language albums Schrei and Zimmer 483. The first single from the album was "Monsoon" the English version of "Durch Den Monsun". The album's second single was "Ready Set Go" (the translation of Ubers Ende DerWelt"), and the third was "Don't Jump" (the translation on "Spring Nicht"). I think of those three songs, "Ready Set Go would have to be my favorite. That song is epic. A video for "Scream", the English-language version of their 2005 hit "Schrei", was also recorded, and was released to the iTunes Store in early March 2008. I love that video, too. But it is a little weird. Anyway, Tokio Hotel gave their first concert in the United Kingdom on June 19th, 2007. "Ready, Set, Go!" was released in the UK as the band's first single on August 27th 2007. The song reached #77 in the UK Singles Chart.
Tokio Hotel won an MTV Europe Music Award for Best InterAct on November 1st, 2007 and were also nominated for Best Band. Their performance of "Monsoon" at the event was awesome possum. The band released their first US single in late 2007, simply called "Tokio Hotel". The single contains the tracks "Scream" and "Ready, Set, Go!", and was available exclusively at Hot Topic stores. And, before Tokio Hotel, I would have never even thought about stepping into a Hot Topic store, but now every time I go to the mall, I make sure I stop in HT and buy something Tokio Hotel! Their second US single, "Scream America", was released on December 11th, 2007, two days after my birthday! In February 2008, the band toured North America for five dates starting in Canada and finishing up in New York. After appearing and performing live on MuchMusic while touring in Canada, "Ready, Set, Go!" entered the MuchOnDemand Daily 10, a countdown of videos chosen by viewers. It remained there for over a week, then returned to the top of the MOD Daily 10 chart on April 8. "Scream" was released in Canada on March 25th and in the US on May 6th.
The "1000 Hotels" European Tour began on March 3rd, 2008 in Brussels and continued to locations including The Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Scandinavia, and was scheduled to finish on April 9th; however, during the concert in Marseille France on March 14th, Bill started to experience vocal problems He let the audience sing more frequently than normal and instead of the original 21 songs that were on the set list, they only played 16 songs. Bill apologized, in German, for his bad singing and explained that he was sick. Two days later, the band cancelled the Lisbon, Portugal concert minutes before it was supposed to commence. The rest of the "1000 Hotels" Tour and a scheduled North American Tour were cancelled following an announcement in Bild by the band's manager that Bill Kaulitz had to undergo surgery to remove a cyst on his vocal cords. Bill Kaulitz had been putting strain on his voice after playing 43 concerts in the 1000 Hotels tour without vacation. He had to undergo Larynx surgery on March 30 to remove a cyst that had formed on his vocal cords. The cyst was the result of a throat infection that went untreated. Following his surgery, Bill was unable to speak for twelve days, and had four weeks of vocal rehabilitation. If Bill had continued singing the rest of the tour, his voice would have eventually been permanently damaged. Tokio Hotel started performing again in May 2008 and after that they embarked on a 2nd part of their 1000 Hotels European Tour adding many Open Air concerts and wrapping up the tour on July 13 in Werchter, Belgium.
Tokio Hotel embarked on a second tour of North America in August 2008. The band's music video for "Ready Set Go!" was nominated for Best Pop Video at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards where they also won the award for Best New Artist. They returned to North America again in October 2008 for a month long tour of concerts and record store signings, but they never came close enough to my area for me to see them :( In December 2008, a behind-the scenes DVD called "Tokio Hotel TV --- Caught On Camera" was released. It contains footage from Tokio Hotel TV and backstage feature stories of the previous year on disc one entitled "History – The very best of Tokio Hotel TV!". A deluxe edition contains a second disc entitled "Future – The road to the new Album!" which features footage of the band on promotion tours and preparing for their third studio album. I was so happy to find that DVD in my Christmas stocking that year :) In between the North American tours, the band returned to their record studio in Hamburg to record their third studio album, "Humanoid" which, was released on October 2 in Germany & October 6, 2009 in the U.S This is despite earlier statements predicting a March/April 2009 release or a May/June 2009 release The album was recorded in both German and English, and both versions were released simultaneously worldwide. On August 10, it was announced on MTV news that the first German single would be "Automatisch" and its English counterpart, "Automatic", would also be released as a first single in the United States. On August 20, MTV Buzzworthy released a video which previewed "Automatic" and Cherrytree Records announced that the English version of the song would be released in the US on September 22. Nevertheless, the video for the single was released on September 3.
On November 2, it was announced on Tom's Blog that the second English single would be "World Behind My Wall" and its German counterpart, "Lass uns laufen", would be the second German single. The music videos for both versions were released on December 14 and December 15.
On June 24, 2010 the live music video for their single, "Dark Side of the Sun" was released on the band website. On July 20, 2010 they released their second live album Humanoid City Live from Milan, Italy.

"The David Archuleta Experience"
Today's post won't be a review of anything. I'm posting the story I wrote about David Archuleta for y'all to read. Enjoy!
Ok so this is a story I started writing in November 2008 (Finished in February 2009) about the most amazing guy in the world, DAVID ARCHULETA! I hope you like it! BY THE WAY: Most of this story is fictional, except for the part about the corvette and the Jonas Brothers band. That part actually happened. DO NOT STEAL! Copyright 2009
“The David Archuleta Experience”
Prelude
Hhhmmm, how should I begin? Well, around a month ago I had the time of my life! The most amazing thing happened!! I ---- well, how about you just read the story.
Well, I was sitting in my room on the computer, when a little box popped up that said “American Music Awards Award Carrier Needed”. I figured it was just spam, so I started to close it, but something told me not to do that. So I clicked on it, even though I knew it was fake. But when the webpage came up, it looked totally real! I did a little looking into it, just to make sure, and sure enough, IT WAS REAL! I was so excited! I ran and got my mom so she could help me write my resume’ so I could try for the job! After I submitted my photo, resume’ and info, all I could do was wait for the call.
I called my friends Half Pint, Tator Tot, and Vixenella and told them all about it, and they happily freaked at the thought of me being in L.A. with the Jonas Brothers!
I waited for about a week, but I never got a call. I was all bummed out, but then the next day the phone rang, and on the caller I.D. was an 818 area code (Which is Los Angeles' area code)!! I immediately answered with my sweetest, southernest sounding “Hello?” The lady said she saw my photo and resume’ and wanted me to come out to L.A. for a private, in-person interview!!! I freaked out and started packing right away, because two days after my interview was scheduled were the A.M.A’s!
When we arrived at the airport, Half Pint, Tator Tot, and Vix were waiting to say bye, and so were the local news people with their equipment!
“Why are y'all here?” I asked the news people.
“Because nothing like this has ever happened to a local resident before, so we wanted to get it documented.” Answered Tanya Rivera from WFMY News 2.
“Wow! This could not get any cooler if it tried! Thank you guys so much for coming out here to see me off!!” I replied, slightly taken aback. They interviewed me for a little while, and then my mom and I had to get on the plane before we missed our flight. As we were boarding the plane, I took one last look at my friends and the news people, and Half Pint, Tator Tot, and Vix ran up and hugged me one more time and made me promise to have JB sign their stuff if I met them. Laughing, I assured them I would.
We got on the plane and got settled in, but I couldn’t stop wiggling around, 1. Because I was nervous about the interview and, 2. Because I still get nervous on planes after the whole 9/11 thing.
"Man, can they be any slower?" I thought. “Come on people! Let’s move it along!” I said under my breath as a flight attendant walked by for about the millionth time!
“Miss, would you like something to drink?” Asked the tall, skinny flight attendant with a short brown bob hair-cut.
“Yes ma’am. My mom and I would both like orange juice. Thank you.” I replied groggily. Oh yeah. We had to get up at 5 A.M. to catch our 7:30 flight! WAAAYY TOO EARLY!!
Anyway, they finally got the plane in the air about 10 minutes later. Even though in my heart I knew we would be ok, there was still the little shadow of doubt in the back of my mind. Instead of obsessing over being scared, I got out my iPod and listened to David Archuleta. Eventually I fell asleep, but was quickly awoken by that same flight attendant that asked if I wanted a drink!
“Miss, could you please sit your seat up? We’re about to land.” She asked. I looked at her name tag. It read Isabella. Hmm, pretty name.
“Yes ma’am.” I said groggily.
When I looked out the window, I saw LAX, tons of celebrity homes, and a lot of paparazzi! Then, as we were finally landing, I finally came to the realization: WE ARE IN FREAKIN LOS ANGELES!!!!! I can’t believe it!! In about 4 hours, I will be in an interview to possibly be on the American Music Awards!!
When we walked into LAX, I saw a huge group of paparazzi beside the thing we had to get our luggage from. When we got closer, we saw it was Russell Brand and Katy Perry!! I’ve always wanted to meet Russell Brand, and now it was about to happen! I have to admit, the closer we got, the more nervous I got! I had my Sharpie and notebook ready as I approached him, then I got nervous and started shaking and dropped them!
“Excuse me. Did you drop this?” OMG Russell Brand was talking to me!
"Ok, Sam. Quick! Answer him!" My brain said to me.
“Uhh… Yes I did. Thanks!” I said in my flirtiest voice.
“You’re welcome” Russell replied, slightly annoyed.
“Uh Russell, wait! Can you please sign this?” I asked as I handed him my Sharpie and notebook.
“UGH! FINE! If it’ll get you out of my hair!” He snapped at me.
“Wow, what a jerk.” I said under my breath.
So after the whole Russell issue, we went to pick up our rental car: A 2009 yellow (with a black racing stripe) Corvette!! We were styling and profiling on our way to our hotel!
As we were walking into the hotel (the Sheraton Universal), neither my mom nor me could believe our eyes: standing in the hotel lobby was the Jonas Brothers back-up band (Ryan Leistman - Keyboards, John Taylor - Guitar, and Jack Lawless - Drums)!!! I don’t know where Garbo was, but I didn’t care! I was too shy to ask them for an autograph, so I walked around the lobby squeaking like a rat! (And I was looking for the JoBros tooooo) But anyway, I called Vix and told her answering machine about it all! And when she called back, JB’s song “Year 3000” went off, and the band busted out laughing while she screamed her head off in excitement!
Then, after that, we went up to our room and started getting unpacked and ready for the interview! For it, I had brought my beautiful blue interview suit to wear.
Later, when we were on our way to the interview, we were eating lunch, and I was shaking like a leaf! When we pulled into the parking lot, I nearly passed out! 1. Because I was nervous, and 2. Because we almost hit Miley Cyrus! I may hate the girl, but I don’t want her to die and I have to watch!
When we walked in, we had to check in with the secretary, and she instructed us to go to the 17th floor. Hey! David Archuleta is 17!
Anyway, as we were walking into the lady’s office, I was turning my cell phone off and so desperately trying to stop shaking!
“Hi! I’m Linda Mendez, the casting director for ABC, and you must be Ms. Samantha Anderson! Oh it’s so nice to finally meet you! I’ve been looking forward to this interview all day!” said a short, blonde curly-haired woman.
“Yes ma’am I am! It’s so nice to meet you as well! And I, too have been looking forward to this interview.” I replied as sweet as possible.
We got started with it, and she explained what an award carrier is: all I have to do is carry the award out onstage to the celebrity presenter, and they give it to the winner. That’s it! Very easy!
When Linda asked for the extra copy of my resume’ I was supposed to bring, I froze. I forgot to grab it as I got out of the car!
“Uuhhh…. I think I may have left it in our car. Would you like for me to go get it?” I nervously asked.
“Oh please do dear!” Linda replied.
I got up and walked to the elevator, and waited for it to open. When it did, I took a giant step and totally wiped out!!! Apparently someone spilled water and didn't clean it up!
“Ma’am, are you ok?” a really sweet guy asked as he was helping me up.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks for helping me up.” I said, even though it was a total lie! I was in extreme pain, and could barely move my leg!
“If you don’t mind me asking, where are you off to in such a hurry?” the guy asked as he was helping me into the elevator. I looked up at him, and that’s when I realized why his voice sounded so familiar: IT WAS DAVID ARCHULETA!!!!!
“Uhh… I was in an interview and realized I had forgotten my resume’, so I was going back to my car to get it. You don’t have to help me there. I can...OWWW!” Ok so that was also a total lie, because I just about fell again!
“I would feel horrible if I listened to you and something happened to you, even though I don’t even know your name.” David said with a very sweet smile.
“Aw that’s sweet. And my name is Samantha, but you can call me Sam.” I replied, in total shock!
“Sam, it’s nice to meet you. I’m David. So what kind of car do you have?” David said, reaching out to shake my hand as the elevator stopped.
"OMG IT REALLY IS DAVID ARCHULETA!!" I screamed inside. "Ok ding dong, answer him!" I said to myself.
“The yellow Corvette over there.” I said as I shook his hand and pointed to my car when the elevator doors opened. He helped me hobble over to the car, get my papers, and back to the building.
“Where does your leg hurt?” David very caringly asked.
“All the way up and down. I already have really bad knees, and now they’re worse!” I replied, trying not to cry.
“I’m sorry.” He said.
"It’s ok. It’s not like it’s your fault I fell.” I said, slightly smiling at him.
“Well that’s true, but still. You look like you’re about to cry!” He replied. HA! He hit the nail right on the head!
So, we went back up to the 17th (he he!) floor, and I went back into my interview trying to hide the fact that I was in excruciating pain!
“Here you go Ms. Mendez. I’m so sorry I forgot it.” I said as I sat down and handed the resume’ to her.
“Oh that’s quite alright, dear. Your mother and I were just having the funniest conversation about when you were little.” She replied, laughing.
“Oh, you were?” I said as I cut my mom an “Oh My God What Did You Say?!” look.
“Yes, but don’t worry. It was nothing embarrassing.” Linda said. Apparently she caught my look towards my mom!
“Well, I don’t think we should waste any more time here.” Linda said. "Oh gosh I’m not gonna get the job!" I feared inside. “Samantha. You’re hired!” she said with a smile!
“Oh my god! Are you serious?! THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!” I replied, while trying to keep from jumping on her!
“You’re quite welcome, sweetie. There’s just one more thing: I need you to go to this address tomorrow for rehearsal at 3 p.m.” she said as she handed me a slip of paper.
“Ok thank you again so so much!” I said as we were walking out.
When we started towards the elevator, someone tapped me on my shoulder. I turned around, and it was David!
"So how'd the interview go?" he asked.
"I got the job!!" I said, practically screaming!!
"Really?! That's awesome! Congratulations!" he said. "Wait-exactly what job did you get?" he curiously asked.
"I'm going to be carrying an award out onstage at the American Music Awards in two days!" I replied with a great deal of excitement!
"Wow! Really? That is soo cool!" he said as we were getting into the elevator.
"Yes it is!! I have to be at rehearsal tomorrow at 3 so I can find out what award I'll be carrying out." I said.
"Awesome. I have to be there at 3 too! Maybe, if our parents will let us, we could go together if you want." David said with a shy smile.
"That would be awesome if they would!" I happily replied.
Then, as we were getting out of the elevator, my phone started ringing, and my ringtone was David's song "Crush"! He started laughing and blushing as he walked over to his Dad. It was my family calling, so I answered it and told them the good news!
After that, I asked my mom if David and I could go to the rehearsal together. She said yes! I ran and told David while our parents talked.
"So where are you staying?" David asked.
"At the Sheraton Universal." I said.
"Oh, cool. I've stayed there before. How about we meet up with you there around 2:30 so we can go to the rehearsal together?" he asked.
"That sounds great!" I replied.
"Awesome! Well, I'll see you at 2:30!" David said.
"Ok, see ya then!" I said as my mom and I started heading to our car.
Wow. In all the excitement, I totally forgot about my leg! Oh well. It stopped hurting. Guess I don't need to worry my mom with it now!
Then we went back to the hotel, had supper, and went to bed, even though it was only 8 o'clock! We were worn out!
When we got up the next day, it was 1 in the afternoon, the day of rehearsals! YAY! I had decided I would wear my favorite magenta tank top and denim shorts, and my mom was wearing her favorite blue jeans and black t-shirt with the pretty little white kitty on it. We were scrambling to get ready on time! We were supposed to meet David and his dad in the lobby at 2:30, and it's 2:28! We finally got it together and got down there on time!
"Hey Sam, Ms. Anderson." David very politely said as he hugged me and shook my mom's hand. Aw he hugged me! That must mean something!
We all got in his car and rode to the place in almost complete silence! Except for the occasional question about my hometown ("Greensboro, NC"), my age ("Almost 15."), and where I go to school ("I'm homeschooled"), which were all asked by his dad! Wow, David's quieter than I thought.
We got the place on time, and were quickly directed our separate ways. But not for long, because they told me I would be carrying the award for "Favorite Male Country Artist", which is the one David's presenting (the only reason I know that is because I heard the people tell David he would be doing that one!)! Yay, we're gonna be onstage together too!
He got into position to walk out, but his presenting partner, Shailene Woodley, was nowhere to be found! They said she had 5 minutes to get there or else David would be presenting by himself! He did not like hearing that!
"But sir, I'm horrible at speaking in front of people alone! Can Sam do it with me instead? She's great at speaking in front of people!" David pleaded.
"WHAT?! I HATE speaking in front of people! What is that boy doing?!" I worriedly thought to myself.
"David, what the heck are you doing???? This is your chance to shine all on your own! You don't want to compromise that by having ME speaking out there!" I pleaded with him.
"Please Sam! I'm too nervous to do it alone! Please?" He begged with his cute puppy-dog face.
"Eeerrrgg ok fine, I'll do it. But just for you!" I grudgingly said.
"Thank you so much, Sam!" David said as he jumped on me to hug me.
"You're welcome. Just don't put me on the spot out there, please?" I said.
"I promise I won't." He sweetly said.
So, we rehearsed it and it went perfectly! Then, we overheard a heated argument between two AMA/ABC workers over who to replace Ashley Tisdale with since she didn't show up for the rehearsal.
"I know someone who can do it!" David piped up.
"Who?" Asked the worker.
"My friend Samantha!" David replied.
"David, NO! I said I'd do the other one for you!" I said sternly. "What award was she presenting anyway?" I asked the worker.
"The "Breakthrough Artist" one," the worker replied.
"OK I'LL DO IT!!" I said excitedly!
"Why are you so eager to do it now?" David asked.
"Because the Jonas Brothers are nominated! DUH!" I said as I looked at him like he was crazy!
"I should've known." He replied.
"Ok, Samantha, go on out there and practice." The worker said.
"So now I am presenting two awards on the American Music Awards!!! I can't believe this!" I excitedly exclaimed.
"Wow I have GOT to call my people and tell them!" I said giddily.
"Miss, if you want to present this award, you need to get out there and practice!" the irritated worker snapped.
"Yes sir. Sorry if I made you mad." I said.
After the rehearsal, I called my friends and family and told them everything. They were so thrilled, they organized a last minute viewing party so they could all watch it together!
"Hey, Sam, come here. Let's watch the other performers rehearse." David said.
"Okey dokey." I said as I sat down in the seat next to him. We only got to watch Beyonce' though, because we were asked to leave by the guy from backstage.
We went backstage to locate our parents so we could leave, and that's when I saw them: The Jonas Brothers were walking in!!! I wanted to talk to them, but I knew they were busy, so I kept walking with David.
"Hey guys. You ready to go?" David's dad, Jeff, asked.
"Yeah" We said in unison, and then busted out laughing about it.
When we got in his dad's car, David asked if my mom and I would like to join him and his dad for dinner. In my head, I was going back and forth about whether this was a chaperoned date, or just a friendly invite to join them!
"I would love to join y'all. Mom, what about you? I said.
"Sure, why not?" She said.
"Great! So, where do you want to eat?" David very happily asked.
"Uhm... I don't know. You pick!" I said. Then, Jeff asked,
"Why don't we eat at that restaurant in the hotel you're staying at, Samantha? How does that sound?" My mom, David, and I all said at the same time,
"That sounds great!"
We then went back to the hotel and tried to go into the restaurant, but it was closed! "Aw, man! Now where are we gonna eat?" David said.
"We can all go up to our room and order room service if you want." My mom said. WOW! She must've read my mind!!
"That's sweet of you to offer, but we wouldn't want to impose." Jeff said.
"Oh you wouldn't be! Really, I don't mind!" My mom said. God I love her! She is trying to convince David Archuleta and his dad to have dinner with us in our hotel room!!
"Well.... Ok." Jeff finally gave in!
"What floor are you on?" David asked as we got into the elevator.
"The 7th. Room 711." I replied.
When we got up to our room, I flopped out on my bed, and David did too.
"Wow I'm tired. I don't see how flying across the country can wear a person out like this!" I said, yawning.
"Me either, but I am just as tired." David said with a sleepy smile. "I wish we could just go to sleep right here, right now!" He said.
WHAT! DAVID ARCHULETA WANTS TO SLEEP IN THE SAME BED AS ME?!?!?!
"Well, of course, not in the same bed, cuz' that'd be weeiirrd!" He said, nervously laughing. Oh. Darn. I-I MEAN GOOD!!
"Yeah that would be a little weird!" I said.
I laid my head on my pillow, and David watched me as I did, then did the same. Hmm... Monkey see, monkey do! HA! No, David's MUCH cuter than a monkey.
"Are you copying me?" I accusingly asked.
"You're easy to copy!" He replied.
"So you're saying I'm simple?!" I snapped back.
"Maybe I am, maybe I ain't." He slyly replied. "You little jerk!" I said as I hit him with the pillow.
"Hey!" He yelled and hit me back. Our pillow fight went on for about 5 minutes until our parents snapped at us to behave and tell them what we wanted to eat.
"A cheeseburger and fries." We both said, and then continued our fight until I fell off the bed backwards!
"Oh! My god, Sam! Are you okay?!" David, my mom and Jeff asked as the rushed over.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. Don't worry." I said as I got up.
"Ok, no more pillow fights." My mom said.
"Yeah I don't want you to get hurt." David said with the sweetest look and tone of voice ever. Aaahhh... life is sweet!
"Aw, you're sweet." I said.
"Well it's true. I like and care about you, Sam. So I don't want you hurt!" He said ever so gently and sweetly. Wow! All this just cuz' I fell off the bed! Ahh it's good to be friends with Archie!
"Wow, what sweet pills did you take?" I jokingly asked.
"Ha Ha." He said.
Then, there was a knock on the door.
"Room Service!" The voice yelled.
"Yay, food! Finally!" We all said.
We got our food and sat on our beds, and Jeff sat in the chair cuz' he's married and felt kinda weird sitting on my mom's bed with her, for some reason.
"Where's the ketchup?" I asked. "My burger and fries are dry."
"Right here, Cupcake." David jokingly said.
"Thank you, Spankybuns." I replied with a smirk.
"Spankybuns?" He asked?
"Cupcake?" I replied.
"I was joking!" He said.
"So was I!" I said.
"Anyway, here's your ketchup." He said, looking a little embarrassed.
"Thanks." I said, also a little embarrassed.
After that we finished eating in almost complete silence. Except for when David laughed at me because I got ketchup on my nose and chin!
"Here, let me help you with that." David said. "OMG! In the movies, when girls have food on or near their face, the guys usually kiss them to get it off. Aw man! He used the napkin! Wait, isn't that good, from a mom's point of view? Whatever." I excitedly thought to myself.
"Thanks." I said with my "flirty" smile.
"You're welcome." He said with his "sexy sexy" smile.
After we finished eating, our parents started talking & David and I laid back down on my bed, and he kinda snuggled up to me too! We pretended to fall asleep so he wouldn't have to leave. I was facing away from him when we laid down, and when I rolled over, his back was right up against me. So I threw my arm over him and actually did fall asleep! But we were both awoken by a flashing light, and when we looked around the room, we saw what it was: OUR PARENTS WERE TAKING PICTURES OF US SNUGGLED TOGETHER SLEEPING!!!!
"Hey! What are you doing?!" We both yelled.
"We thought it was cute the way you two were sleeping. Is it a crime to photograph it??" they said in their defense.
"Uh, in this case, YEAH!" We snappishly replied. "You weren't planning on showing those to anyone, were you?" I asked.
"No. Just friends and family," My mom said, and Jeff nodded in agreement.
"Well, I guess that's alright." David said.
"Yeah, I guess." I said.
"Alright, David. Come on. We gotta go." Jeff said.
"Aw man! Do we have to go now?" David pleaded.
"Karen, thanks for having us. DAVID! Let's go!" Jeff snapped.
"You're welcome." my mom said.
"Wait, dad. I need to ask Sam something." David said.
"Ask me what?" I asked.
"Since the A.M.A.'s are tomorrow, and neither one of us have dates, do you want to be my date?" He finally managed to stammer out.
"OH. MY. GOD! HE WANTS ME TO BE HIS DATE?! WOW!!!!" I screamed inside.
"Wow. Uhm.. YEAH! I would love to be your date!" I replied, completely surprised!
"Great! So, uh, the red carpet stuff starts at 4, so how about we pick you and your mom up at 2:30? That way we can have time to get through traffic." He nervously said.
"That sounds great. Wait, what should I wear? What are you wearing??" I asked excitedly.
"Well, I'm wearing a black outfit, so if you want, maybe we could wear matching outfits. I mean since you're my date and all." David replied.
"That would be cool." I said. "Mom, can we go out and get something to wear tonight?" I asked.
"Sure, hun. I need something too." She said.
"Alright, we'll see you tomorrow." David said. "Bye guys!" He said as he hugged me and kissed my cheek! I blushed and said bye.
My mom and I waited until we were sure they were gone before we left to get something to wear to the A.M.A's, which, by the way, were the NEXT FREAKIN DAY!!!
We went shopping, and my mom bought a cool black-pants-and-button-down-shirt outfit, and I got a sleek, black satin sleeveless dress that stops at my knees. Of course you would think I bought pair of strappy heels to match, right? WRONG! I'm a total Converses kind of girl, so I'm definitely wearing my black Converses with it, even if it is the A.M.A's! And my mom and I both decided we'd do our own hair and makeup.
When we got back, we put our stuff up and went to sleep at 9 p.m., because we had to be up at 7:30. And to us, 7:30 is like 4 a.m.!
When I woke up the next morning, it was already 8 o'clock! I jumped up to wake my mom up, but she was already up! So after she got out of the shower, I asked her why she didn't wake me up when she got up.
"Because you don't take as long to get ready as me," She said.
"Oh, ok." I replied.
"I'm hungry. Can we order breakfast?" I asked.
"Yeah, go ahead." She said.
After breakfast, at around 10, I started getting ready too. I actually managed to shower in 20 minutes! It was around 11 that I started getting nervous. I was scared I was gonna fall as I walked out onstage or on the red carpet!
At about 12, David called.
"Hey! You nervous?" He asked.
"Wow he's smart!" I whispered to my mom.
"Yes! I don't want to fall onstage or the red carpet!" I said.
"Don't be. If you've got me by your side, nothing with happen to you!" He said.
Awww! He is the sweetest guy on earth!!
"Aww thanks. That's really sweet of you to say." I said. "But what about when I present the other award by myself?" I asked.
"Well I'll still be out in the audience, so if you get scared, just look in the crowd to your mom, my dad, and me," He said.
AAAHHH... he is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
"Ok. You really know how to calm a girl down," I said.
"Hey, when you have 3 sisters, you have to know how!" He replied. I laughed.
"Hey Sam, I gotta go finish getting ready. I'll see you at 2:30!" He said.
"Ok, bye." I said as he hung up.
So as time went by, I managed to calm my nerves, slightly, but not much.
Then, there was a knock at the door.
"Guess who?" It was David!!
Oh my god! It was 2:30 already?! Wow! Oh right. David's outside.
"Hey. You look beautiful! He said as he and his dad came in.
"Thanks. You look very cute too. But then again, you always look cute!" I said.
"Aww. Thanks," He said.
"It's true." I said.
"So uhhh..." he stammered, "You ladies ready to go?" He asked.
"Yes sir!" I stupidly said.
"Um... Ok." he said, kinda confused as to why I called him "sir", I think. I reached to open the door, and David said "Uh-Uh! That's my job!"
"You don't have to open it. I can get it!" I said.
"Well I don't care. I'm trying to be the perfect gentlemen, and you're kind of ruining it!" He said.
"Oh. Sorry. I kind of got so caught up in being an independent woman I didn't..." I trailed off.
"It's ok" He said with his signature "Sexy N' Sweet" smile.
We all went and got in the elevator, and when we did, David pulled me over to him, turned my back to him, and wrapped his arms around me, and rested his chin on my shoulder! So I laid my head on his. I'm surprised my mom hasn't totally flipped out on him for hugging me and being extra sweet in front of her. She's always been sorta touchy when it comes to me and boys.
When the elevator doors opened, there were paparazzi everywhere! I guess someone told the press David was here. We quickly worked our way through them, got in the limo and headed for the A.M.A.'s!! David was obviously very lovey-dovey, cuz' he sat right beside me with his arm around me! Boy, what has gotten into him?
"David, why are you all up on Samantha?" Jeff asked him.
"I don't know. I guess I didn't realize I was. I'm sorry, Sam." David said as he backed off of me.
"It's ok. I actually didn't mind." I said to David with a smile.
"Oh. I'm sorry. I just thought it might've been a little awkward for you," Jeff said.
"Oh that's ok. Actually, it was pretty... uhh... awesome." I said.
A little while later, the limo jerked to a stop. When we looked out the window, we saw the American Music Awards red carpet!!
"Wow! That thing is looonnnggg!!! I nervously exclaimed.
"Yeah it is. You didn't see them setting it up yesterday?" David asked.
"Nnnooo. I was too focused on you to notice anything else!" I replied cooly.
"Aww. Smooth." David said, blushing as he kissed my cheek! I blushed and smiled at him.
Then, the door opened, and we all filed out of the limo. When I looked around, I saw Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith, Rihanna, David Cook, Demi Lovato, and then, "The Devil" Taylor Swift!
"Sam, over here," David said, interrupting my thoughts, which kept me from making a fool of myself. We were instructed to go talk to Carrie Ann Inaba from "Dancing With The Stars" and Guierllmo from "Jimmy Kimmel Live", and then onto the actual red carpet for picture-taking (FINALLY!)!
When we got in front of the photographers, I was so nervous and couldn't produce a good smile for nothing! That is, until, I saw "them": The Jonas Brothers were watching us!!!!
"Oh my god! David is that the Jonas Brothers watching us?!" I asked excitedly, while trying to keep from running over and jumping on them.
"I'm almost afraid to say so, but yes," He said.
"YAY! WAIT! Why are they just staring at us?" I asked him.
"Cuz' you're pretty!" He replied.
"Thanks. OH MY GOD! WHAT IF THEY REMEMBER ME FROM THEIR CONCERTS I'VE BEEN TO?!?!?!" I said, almost screaming.
"Calm down, Sam." David said as we scooted down the carpet.
Then, someone walked up to me while I was fixing my shoe. I looked up, and Nick Jonas was standing right beside me!!
"Hi. I'm Nick," He said as I stood up.
"Hi. I'm Sam". I replied as I shook his hand and tried so hard not to scream!
"You look familiar. Have we met before?" He asked.
"Um, no. But, I have been to 4 of yall's concerts this year!" I said.
"Awesome. Thanks so much for the support and for being a fan!" He said.
"You are very welcome!" I replied.
Then, the worst possible thing happened: We were asked to go inside and away from the Jonas Brothers!!!!
"Hey Nick, I gotta go. See you inside!" I said.
When we got inside, I collapsed into a chair and drifted off into "Jonas Land".
"Uhh... Sam? Are you ok? Who were you talking to on the red carpet?" David asked.
"I'm fine. And, if you must know, I was talking to Nick Jonas!!! I replied excitedly.
"Really?! That's awesome!" He said.
We were then whisked away to our seats, and the show soon began!
Christina Aguilera opened the show with a medley performance, and then Jimmy Kimmel came out for his opening monologue.
"Yeah Kanye West is here too." Jimmy began, "We don't know if he's gonna get onstage and sing or start a fight." Jimmy continued. "Please don't fight, Kanye. There are kids here. This is not the place for David Archuleta to learn the F-word!" He joked. Right after he said that, the camera panned over to us, catching us all falling out laughing!
"I mean look at David" Jimmy started up again, "He's a cute kid, isn't he? You know I was that cute when I was 8 too!" He said.
Jimmy continued his monologue for about 5 more minutes, and then they started handing out the awards. They handed out awards to Chris Brown, Rihanna, and Alicia Keys, and then, the Jonas Brothers came out onstage to perform, which was mine and David's cue to head backstage to get ready to present our award! I was bummed that I had to miss the JoBros' performance, but being with David made it all better!
"Are you ready to go out there, Sam?" David asked.
"Ummm... Define 'Ready'." I replied.
David started to say something, but then the announcer said "And now, presenting the award for "Favorite Male Country Artist", here's David Archuleta and, filling in for Shailene Woodley, Samantha Anderson!", and we were rushed out onstage! When I saw all the people staring at us, I nearly passed out! As we got up to the mic, David began by saying "Since Shailene was having some scheduling difficulties, I asked my friend Samantha to fill in for her."
I just smiled at him the whole time he was speaking.
"And I thank you very much for asking me." I said to him. The crowd laughed, and I scanned them for celebs and saw the Jonas Brothers were already back in their seats and laughing too! I tried not to scream and to just read the teleprompter. Brad Paisley won, but I was totally focused on David! "That was fun!" I whispered to him while Brad did his "thank you" speech...
"Yeah it was, even though you didn't hardly get to talk." He sweetly said.
"That's ok. I still have the other award to present." I replied.
Then, we were ushered backstage, and everyone but me was told they could return to their seats. I was told I had to stay backstage cuz' I would be presenting in 2 minutes!!
"Sam, you're gonna be great, just stop shaking!" David said while holding my hands.
"Thanks. I'm just trying to figure out how to keep myself calm when the JoBros win!" I said excitedly.
"Uhh... well..." David began, but was interrupted by a guy telling me I was about to go out.
"Good luck!" David said as he hugged me and kissed my cheek.
"Thanks." I said, blushing about the kiss.
Then, I heard the announcer say, "And now, filling in for Ashley Tisdale, here's Ms. Samantha Anderson to present the award for "Breakthrough Artist of the Year"!"
When I walked out onstage, I saw my mom, David and his dad cheering and clapping wildly for me! David must have ran very quickly back to his seat.
"Hi. Ashley was having some problems, so Mr. David Archuleta volunteered me to fill in for her. So thank you for that, David!" I started. "Alright, let's get down to business! Former winners of this award, like Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and Alicia Keys, have went on to become world-wide megastars!" I said. I had a cell phone in my hand with which I would be texted the winner. "Any second now I'll be receiving a text message telling me the winner." I continued. Just then, the cell phone went off. "Look at that! For once something worked as planned! Anyway, and the winner is... THE JONAS BROTHERS!!!!" I practically screamed and almost started jumping up and down when I read it! The crowd appropriately burst into a frenzy of wild cheering and applause! I was so excited to finally get to meet them, but the closer they got to me onstage, the more I felt like I was going to pass out! When they came up to me and took their award, Nick and Joe just stared at me, then Joe winked at me, and Kevin and Nick said 'thank you' and shook my hand! While they were giving their acceptance speech, I was hyperventilating!
As we were walking off the stage, Joe put his arm around me and asked,
"Do I know you? Cuz' you look so familiar!"
"No you don't know me. But I did go to 4 of yall's concerts this year!" I replied.
"Wow seriously?! Thank you soo-so much for the support!" Joe said.
Then Nick said,
"Oh yeah. I talked to you on the red carpet."
I felt like I was dreaming as we continued to talk about the concerts I'd seen. Then, I think the devil walked up in the form of a man and did the absolute WORST THING EVER: HE TOOK THE JONAS BROTHERS AWAY!!!!! All I could do was wave bye and go back to my seat.
When I reached my seat, my mom, David and Jeff said,
"Hey! You did great!"
"Thanks." I replied.
"So, did you have fun with the Jonas Brothers backstage?" David asked.
"Yeah! I told them about all the concerts I had seen. But then, the devil came and yanked me off of "Cloud 3000" quick when he took the Jonas Brothers back to their seats!" I overly dramatically exclaimed.
"Aw I'm sorry. But hey, you still got me!" David replied.
"Aww. And, I wouldn't have it any other way!" I said.
After that, we watched the rest of the show without saying a single word.
As we were leaving the theatre to go to the car, I saw the real "Devil In Disguise": Taylor Swift! I went back and forth in my head about attacking her, but David grabbed my arm and pulled me away from her.
"Come on, Sam. No fighting tonight please?" David asked as pulled me up beside him and led me away.
"Ugh, fine. But only for you!" I said.
"Thank you." He said, breathing a sigh of relief. We quietly walked the rest of the way to the car.
When we got in the car, David put his arm around me and said, "Samantha, I'm very proud of you."
"And why are you proud of me?" I asked as I snuggled up to him.
"Because when the Jonas Brothers came up onstage, you managed to keep from jumping on them and held your composure like a classy, sophisticated young lady. And you did the same when you saw Taylor, you kept your cool," He replied.
"Who are you? My mom or my friend?" I asked him. We all just laughed.
"Thanks David. That means a lot," I said as I laid my head on his shoulder. He laid his head on mine and we eventually fell asleep. But we didn't sleep long, because Jeff woke us up and told us we were at the Target After-Party.
"Alright guys. This is the Target after-party. You don't have to stay long, just long enough to make it look good," Jeff said to us as we pulled up to the party.
When the limo driver opened the door, it was a paparazzi madhouse! David got out first, and they went ballistic! And when I got out, they didn't stop!
They started yelling questions like "DAVID IS THIS YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND?", and we just laughed and ran inside with our parents. But we only stayed for about an hour, though 1. because the party was boring and 2. Because the paparazzi were annoying!
After we left the party, we got in the car. While the limo driver was taking me and my mom back to the hotel, we were all reminiscing on the awesome night we just had!
"When I read the text message onstage that the Jonas Brothers had won, I almost screamed!" I joyfully recalled.
"Yeah we could tell by the look on your face, before you even said anything, that they had won!" My mom said.
"I was scared you had stashed some rope and tape backstage and were gonna kidnap them during the commercial break!" David said.
"Gee, thanks, David!" I sarcastically replied.
"David, I thought you and Sam looked so cute up onstage together. Like the perfect little couple!" Jeff said to us.
David and I just looked at each other with this weird look on our faces.
Then, we pulled up at the hotel. As we got out of the limo, David asked
"Hey Sam. How much longer are you gonna be in L.A.?"
"Uhm... not much longer. We leave in the morning." I replied with a glum look on my face.
"Tomorrow?! But... But..." David stammered.
"I know. I wish we would stay longer, but we've already been out here for 3 days!" I said. By this time, we had already made our way over to the elevators.
When we got in the elevator, David hugged me and said,
"I'm gonna miss you Sam!"
"Aw David! Calm down! Our plane doesn't leave until 10 tomorrow morning, so we can save the goodbyes for then. Ok?" I said as I hugged him back.
"Ok", He replied.
When we got up to our room, I laid down on my bed and thought about the amazing time I had here in L.A. As Tokio Hotel would say, it was "Groses Kino" (German slang for "totally awesome/cool")!
"Sam. Since you're leaving tomorrow, can I have your cell phone number so we can keep in touch?" David nervously asked as he walked up and sat on my bed with me.
"Of course you can." I said with a smile as I wrote it down for him.
"Sam, can I ask you something? David asked timidly.
"Uhh... sure", I cautiously replied.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" He awkwardly asked. The room suddenly got very quiet.
"Uhm... nnnooo", I answered, kinda confused. His face then got very perky!
"Well, uh, David, we should probably get going and let Sam and her mom get their stuff together for tomorrow." Jeff said, trying to change the awkward subject.
"Aw ok. Sam, I'll see you in the morning." David said as he hugged me.
"Ok. Bye." I said to him as he and Jeff walked out the door. He just sadly waved as they walked towards the elevators.
After they were gone, my mom and I started getting our stuff packed up and ready to go.
After we finished packing, I then ate my supper so slowly, trying to drag out my time here in L.A. just a little bit longer.
When I laid down to go to sleep, it was 11 o'clock. I finally fell asleep around midnight, but I hardly slept at all!
I woke up the next morning at 7, and got my mom up while trying so hard to fight back my tears! As we gathered up our things, I finally caved and started crying, but I tried not to let my mom see. By the time we got down to the lobby, I had regained control.
So, we checked out, got in our car, and were off to the airport! When we got there, we had to return our car and check in for our flight. We had about an hour and a half to spare, so we went and ate breakfast. When we finished eating, we went back to the boarding gate, and by this time it was around 9.
"Man, David said he was going to be here to say bye and I still haven't seen him!" I sadly said to myself.
We waited and waited but he never showed up. Then, our plane started boarding!! Just as my mom and I were about to get on the plane, I heard someone yelling, "SAMANTHA!! SAMANTHA!!"
I turned around to see David running towards the gate! I dropped my stuff and ran over to him!
"Sam I'm so sorry I'm late! I had to figure out which flight you were on, cuz' you forgot to tell me!" He said as he grabbed me and hugged me.
"I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you!" I said, hugging him tight.
"Samantha! We have to go! Hurry up!" My mom hollered.
"Sam, I know you have to go, so I'll make this short and sweet!" David said. Then, in front of everyone, he kissed me!!!! Not on the cheek, but a long, sweet, romantic kiss on the lips!!
"You better go before you miss your flight." David said after the kiss.
"Ok. Bye!" I said, still in complete shock about the kiss! As we boarded the plane, I turned and waved bye to David one more time, then got on the plane and flew home.
Postlude
It's been about a month or so since I've seen David, but we still talk to each other on the phone everyday. And, I hopefully will get to see him sometime very soon!
The End!
Hope yall liked it! Thanks so much for reading it!

Dancing With The Stars
I absolutely love "Dancing With The Stars". That show is just phenomenal. I love watching every week to see how the stars will do in their new dances. I can't believe the show started 5 years ago! It doesn't seem like it's been that long, but it apparently has. Last night, the show had their 200th episode. They opened the show with a performance from some of the pros from all 11 seasons, danced to the very first song from the very first show, "Crazy In Love" by Beyonce'. I must say, it was a very well choreographed, very well performed routine. Though I could have done without Lacey Schwimmer's little skank move when she first came out. They need to put some clothes on her!
Anyway, I think the stars are getting better and better each week, with the exception of Bristol Palin and Kurt Warner. Kurt though, he is getting slightly better each week, but "Bristol The Pistol" needs to pack up and leave! The poor girl, I can understand where she's coming from with her shyness. I used to be painfully shy, but when I started dancing at church, my shell of shyness slowing started chipping away, and when I started ballroom dancing last year, I completely shed my shell of shyness! So I understand where she's coming from, but you'd think at this point in the competition she'd be more confident in herself and not so shy. But since that's obviously not gonna happen anytime soon, SHE NEEDS TO GO!
Kyle Massey really surprised me this season. I really didn't expect much of him, but when he came out on the very first episode of season 11 and busted out that spectacular cha-cha, I was blown away! The boy can dance!! He is a very good actor, so I think that helps him out alot in this competition, because you kind of have to act with each different dance. Rumba being the dance of love, you have to have passion and love in your eyes, and great chemistry with your partner. Cha-cha being the sexy, flirty dance, you have to be fun, flirty, sexy, and care-free. That must be why cha-cha is my favorite dance, haha.
I loved the team dances they did last night. Those were AWESOME! They had two former competitors from the show, Kristi Yamagucci and Apolo Anton Ohno, be the captains of two teams made up of the remaining contestants of this season. I am Team Apolo all the way baby! I think his team did much much much better than Team Kristi. Obviously the judges did too, because Team Apolo got 27 points, while Team Kristi only got 23.
I remember when Apolo competed on the show. That was one of my favorite seasons. Along with season 3 with Mario Lopez, and whichever season Aaron Carter was on :) I am so glad that Apolo won his season. Julianne Hough is a great dancer and obviously a wonderful teacher, but Apolo also had some natural born talent, Julianne just had to bring it out of him :) I think my favorite dances of theirs were their "I Like To Move It" Samba, and their "Bust A Move" freestyle. I don't really know why, but I think Apolo is just so freakin hot! Haha. I just love everything about him...
And speaking of the hot men of DWTS, Mario Lopez is so sexxxxaaaayyyyy!!! He totally should've won season 3! Emmit Smith most certainly did NOT deserve to win! Mario was a much better dancer than Emmit. He was robbed of a very well deserved mirror ball trophy. Curse you, Emmit Smith. Curse you.
I can't believe season 11 has almost come to a close already. It seems like just yesterday it started, and next week is the quarter finals :( I don't want it to be over yet! I really enjoy watching it every week. It's kinda like fun homework for me, since I used to be a ballroom dancer. It's my last connection to ballroom dancing. Well, besides my friends from my old studio, haha. But we don't really talk anymore :( So, yeah it's pretty much my last connection to ballroom dancing!
But anyway, the show has really come a long way since season 1. I still remember the very first champion of DWTS: Kelly Monaco, who plays Samantha McCall on "General Hospital". I remember that wardrobe malfunction she had that almost caused her to flash the whole country! Poor girl. Her partner, Alec Mazo, was a very... interesting person. I don't know, he just kind of gave me the creeps. I didn't really like him. But he's obviously a great teacher, because they were the very first champs of "Dancing With The Stars!" I wonder who will win this season...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Then, on Halloween, I got all excited to go trick-or-treating :) I felt like a little kid again, standing there in my living room with my costume on bouncing like crazy while waiting for my mom to finish getting ready to go. We have always gone to this one neighborhood about 7 minutes from my house ever since I was an itty-bitty kid, but we used to go with my cousins then. Now it's just me and my mom. When I was little, every house in the whole neighborhood had their porch light on, and this year, it was very hard to find a house with a porch light on! That neighborhood sure has changed in 10 years. Even though there wasn't many houses to go to, I still ended up with a half a bag of candy. Instead of using the traditional pumpkin bucket, I used an old Victoria's Secret bag from my birthday last year, haha. Not your usual pick for trick-or-treating, but hey, I'm a big girl now! And plus, the bag matched my costume. One of the houses I went to, the guy was like "You a little big to be trick-or-treating ain't ya?". I replied, "You're never to big for free candy!". He was like "I know that's right.". At another house, I was asked if I was dressed as Paris Hilton... then another guy thought I was dressed as Minnie Mouse! Hasn't anybody seen Grease? I can sort of understand Paris Hilton, but Minnie Mouse? Really?
But all in all, it was an awesome Halloween. I got lots of candy, and had lots of fun, and that's all that really matters.
What did y'all dress up as? I'd love to see pictures! Comment and let me know what y'all dressed up as.
Until next time...
